Yes, there’s a place called Hell Grand Cayman. It’s a unique attraction in the corner of the island where you can see black limestone rock formations. If you’re looking for some different things to do in Grand Cayman, this is an easy place to visit between trips to the beach.
About Hell Grand Cayman
When I first searched for the Cayman Islands, I came across ‘Hell’ on a map and had to click into it. The name doesn’t quite tell you what you can expect to see there.
Hell is a particular spot in Grand Cayman with some gnarly looking limestone rock formations. And angry looking rocks always tend to get named after something to do with Hell (like the prickly rocks at the Devil’s Golf Course in Death Valley).
The limestone formations can actually be seen in different parts of the island. We found a similar looking place by exploring the north coast on the east end of Grand Cayman. But Hell is where you can see a more concentrated area of them.
While the angry looking terrain is the main focus, they’ve capitalized on the name to make it more of an attraction. You’ll find many Hell-related things in the area as well as fire and brimstone type art on signs and buildings.

How to Get There
Hell is located on the northwest end of the island on a road called Hell Road. From George Town, Hell is about a 15-20 minute drive north. You can get there easily by driving or taking a taxi. This is not a place where you need a tour as it’s just a couple of overlooks to see.
Parking is on site and you’ll see all of the Hell-related signs to know you’ve made it.
Visiting Hell Grand Cayman
Hell is a free attraction and is steps away from the parking lot. There are two overlook platforms to see the formations. Look closely on the first one to see if you can spot the Little Rock devil in the mist of the other rocks.
It’s a pretty small attraction. You don’t need a lot of time to visit Hell. The overlooks take only a few minutes to see as you can only stay on the platforms. You can’t walk around the rocks and there are no trails. Though you can look out for other little sculptures and art.
There are three gift shops on the premise and some photo ops around the building. There’s also all sorts of things to look at within the gift shop with ‘hell’ phrases. It’s an eclectic place but definitely something different to do on the island.
You can also buy a postcard at the gift shop to send to a friend. The Hell Post office is steps down the road and it will be sent from Hell, Grand Cayman!
